If you send a floor plan, you get back a sign schedule, message list and shop drawings you can actually review and approve. If you are working an existing building instead, we survey what is there and give you the same package.

Compliance, done right
The compliance details most sign vendors get wrong
Every figure below is taken directly from the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design and checked against the primary text. The most common failure is not a wrong dimension. It is applying tactile and braille rules to signs that never needed them, or skipping them on signs that did.
Measured from the finish floor to the baseline of the lowest tactile character (48 in minimum) and the baseline of the highest (60 in maximum). The old 60 in to centerline rule is from the superseded 1991 ADAAG.
703.4.1Measured vertically from the character baseline, based on the uppercase letter I. A 1/2 in minimum applies only where separate raised and visual characters carry the same information.
703.2.5Contracted (Grade 2) braille sits below the entire text block, separated at least 3/8 in from any other tactile characters and from raised borders or decorative elements.
